Luvlt Indulgent Chocolates commissioned Studio ABD to design packaging that could do what the best gift packaging does: create a moment of visual anticipation that makes the eating of what is inside feel more pleasurable before it happens. This is luxury packaging design for the Indian gifting market applied to an accessible price point, the challenge being not to look expensive, but to feel considered, because considered is what the recipient actually experiences.

The Luvlt packaging system was designed around a precise brief: create visual impact and tactile quality at a unit cost that keeps the product genuinely giftable across Indian occasions, birthdays, Diwali, corporate gifting, casual celebration. This required the kind of material intelligence that premium packaging design agencies apply only to high-value products: understanding exactly which material decisions deliver the most perceived quality per rupee of cost, and which expensive-looking details can be achieved through design intelligence rather than material premium. Luvlt's packaging was designed to create a small moment of theatre, the visual pause that happens when someone receives something that looks this good, before they even open it. This moment is brief, but its effect on the experience of the product inside is disproportionately large.
